This Privacy Policy explains how SC AI AutoTrader ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website, API, and automated trading assistant for cTrader and MetaTrader 5 (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: when you register, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored as a secure hash). We never store your password in plain text.
• Trading account identifier: when you connect the bot to your trading account (cTrader or MetaTrader 5), we receive a numeric account identifier used to authenticate API requests and enforce your access rights (trial or subscription).
• Bot tokens: rotating tokens issued to your bot for API access are stored only as hashes and expire automatically after a short period (15 minutes).
• Usage data: we log API requests, AI analysis calls, timestamps, IP addresses, and country of origin to operate the Service, enforce rate limits, and detect fraud or abuse.
• Payment data: payments are processed by the marketplace where you purchased the bot (cTrader or MetaTrader 5). We do not store or process your credit card details. We receive only the transaction status and subscription details needed to manage your access.
• News and market data: the Service downloads and analyzes financial news from third-party providers. This data is used to generate AI assessments and is retained only for a limited period.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• Authenticate your API requests and manage trial/subscription access;
• Run AI analysis on news and market data to generate internal analysis output used by the automation logic;
• Enforce rate limits, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Service;
• Send service-related communications (e.g. subscription status, security alerts);
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:

• AI providers: news content and analysis requests are sent to third-party AI model providers (OpenRouter) to generate assessments. Only the data needed for the analysis is transmitted.
• Payment processor: the marketplace (cTrader or MetaTrader 5) processes subscription payments. We share only what is required to complete the transaction.
• Infrastructure providers: Cloudflare hosts the Service (Workers, D1 database, KV storage, R2 storage) and may process data as part of providing those services.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

4. AI Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze news and market data. When you use the Service:

• News articles and your analysis requests may be transmitted to third-party AI model providers for processing.
• AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You are solely responsible for evaluating any AI output before relying on it.
• AI output does not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice.
• You should not submit sensitive personal data through the Service.

5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary:

• News items: retained for a limited period (configurable, typically 7 days) and then automatically deleted.
• AI logs: retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
• Application logs: retained for 14 days, then automatically deleted.
• Account data: retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may have the following rights:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Data portability;
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Security
